Baldur's Gate 3: Books Bring Astarion & More to Life
25 Apr
Summary
- A new publishing program will bring Baldur's Gate 3 to the page.
- An Astarion novel by T. Kingfisher is set before game events.
- Cookbooks, coloring books, and a notebook are also planned.

A new publishing initiative by Penguin Random House aims to translate the immersive world of Baldur's Gate 3 into literary form.
This program's centerpiece is a novel exploring Astarion's past, written by T. Kingfisher. Set during his servitude to Cazador Czarr, the book features consultation from Baldur's Gate 3 senior writer Stephen Rooney, ensuring narrative authenticity. Neil Newbon will reprise his role for the audiobook adaptation.
Complementing the novel are several other releases. A coloring book offers 40 black-and-white illustrations of game elements by Jaki King. "A Feast for a Tenday" cookbook provides 65 recipes organized by course and location, complete with chapter illustrations and photos.
Additionally, "The Necromancy of Thay" is a blank notebook with a skull-embossed cover, inspired by a significant in-game book. The Necromancy of Thay notebook is set to release on July 21, followed by the coloring book on August 11, the Astarion novel on September 29, and the cookbook later. Further publications are planned through 2027.
