Nandamuri Balakrishna is slated to return to the sets for his upcoming action film, tentatively titled 'NBK111', in September 2026. The actor had previously taken a break from shooting after sustaining a muscle tear during an action sequence, followed by surgery and medical advice. Reports indicate that his talkie portions will be completed shortly after his return.
The film, directed by Gopichand Malineni, marks a reunion for the actor and director following their previous collaboration on 'Veera Simha Reddy'. The cast includes Kajal Aggarwal as the female lead and Sanjay Dutt in a significant role, alongside Samuthirakani, Sarath Kumar, and others.
Thaman is composing the music for 'NBK111', with cinematography by Arvind Kashyap. Earlier rumors suggested a historical theme and Nayanthara as the female lead, but a recently released glimpse indicates a different direction for the movie. Balakrishna also has another project, 'NBK112', with director Koratala Siva.
