Actor Manoj Bajpayee has responded to the controversy surrounding the film "Ghooskhor Pandat," clarifying his intentions behind portraying a character that has caused offense. He acknowledged the hurt caused by the film's title, particularly the use of 'Pandat' alongside 'ghooskhor,' which viewers interpreted as an attack on the pandit community.
Bajpayee emphasized that his role was to depict a flawed individual and his journey, not to make a statement about any community. He noted the filmmakers' decision to remove promotional material due to public sentiment, showcasing their seriousness in addressing concerns. This move follows a legal notice sent by a lawyer objecting to the title's alleged defamation of the pandit community.
