Puerto Rican artist Residente is set to direct his first feature film, a production titled "Porto Rico." This ambitious project is described as an epic Caribbean western and historical drama. Bad Bunny has been cast in his inaugural leading film role for this highly anticipated movie.
The film's ensemble cast includes acclaimed actors Viggo Mortensen, Edward Norton, and Javier Bardem. Alejandro G. Iñárritu serves as an executive producer for "Porto Rico," adding significant weight to the production. The screenplay, developed by Residente and Alexander Dinelaris, reportedly draws from the life of José Maldonado Román, a 19th-century Puerto Rican revolutionary known as Águila Blanca.
