19 Mar
Summary
- Season canceled due to fresh domestic abuse claims.
- A disturbing 2023 video of the star fighting her baby daddy emerged.
- Network cited the newly surfaced video for the cancellation.

ABC has pulled the plug on the upcoming season of "The Bachelorette" starring Taylor Frankie Paul. This decision comes in response to newly surfaced domestic abuse allegations and a disturbing 2023 video depicting a fight between Paul and her baby daddy, Dakota Mortensen. The network confirmed their decision on Thursday, stating, "In light of the newly released video... we have made the decision to not move forward with the new season... and our focus is on supporting the family."
This abrupt cancellation means the season, which was slated to premiere on Sunday, will not air. Sources connected to the show indicated that ABC had not seen the video prior to its release by TMZ. Paul and Mortensen have reportedly been ordered to undergo psychological evaluations amidst ongoing spousal abuse claims, with the Utah Division of Children and Family Services also investigating allegations of violence between them. Additionally, Paul's other reality show, "The Secret Lives of Mormon Lives," has also paused production.
