The feud reportedly began when the podcast featured a recurring segment that mocked the contestant's then-unborn daughter, Alessi. The reality star explained that while she and her husband, Arie Luyendyk Jr., were unbothered by personal criticism, the mockery of their child crossed a line, escalating to inappropriate and disgusting sexualization.

Burnham and Luyendyk Jr. considered legal action against the host due to the relentless and offensive comments. Despite their initial hope that the situation would resolve itself, the resurfacing controversy has reignited her fury. She expressed a strong desire for the host to reconsider her tactics for gaining attention, emphasizing that such behavior is unacceptable. Burnham had previously discussed these events on a podcast in 2023, calling the comments "classless" and admitting she was close to hiring a lawyer.

Recently, Burnham publicly declared her allegiance to influencer Alix Earle amidst Earle's own dispute with the same podcaster. Burnham stated on social media that it was time for the host to be called out, adding that her stance was "personal."
