Singer Babul Supriyo has announced his return to the music industry after a nearly seven-year absence focused on politics. He acknowledges that this hiatus led to missed musical opportunities but views them as positive regrets. Supriyo is actively seeking new challenges and plans to spend more time in Mumbai, expressing openness to good work.

Reflecting on the evolving music landscape, Supriyo shared his perspective on artificial intelligence. While he embraces innovation, he draws a firm line regarding its misuse, emphasizing the distinction between ethical and unethical applications. He clarified that his recent single utilized Asha Bhosle's original vocals, contrasting it with AI-generated recreations which he believes cross a boundary.

Supriyo also commented on the diminished stature of singers in today's industry, noting that technological advancements have altered the equation. He pointed out that current singers compete with both talent and technology, a shift from previous generations. Furthermore, he expressed skepticism about the authenticity of contemporary singing reality shows, citing pre-recording, extensive rehearsals, and lip-syncing as common practices. He recognized only a select few artists as having truly broken through in recent years.
