Similarly, 'Good Fortune' focuses on the character Arj, an everyman navigating the gig economy in Los Angeles, a creative approach reminiscent of 'Master of None'.

The new film is also produced in partnership with Alan Yang, Ansari's longtime collaborator on 'Master of None'. Additionally, the movie features a brief reference to Keanu Reeves, who Ansari has been enthusiastic about working with. Reeves, known for the 'John Wick' franchise, even managed to sustain an injury on the set of 'Good Fortune' despite his action movie experience.
