Ayodhya's Ramayan-Themed Wax Museum Prepares for Grand Inauguration

In the lead-up to the upcoming Deepotsav celebration, Ayodhya is set to unveil a groundbreaking Ramayan-themed wax museum. The museum, which is the first of its kind in the world, has been built in collaboration with the Ayodhya Municipal Corporation and is located opposite Kashiram Colony on the Chaudah Kosi Parikrama route.

Spanning 9,850 square feet and costing ₹6 crore, the fully air-conditioned museum houses 50 life-like wax statues depicting key episodes from the Ramayan. Designed in a South Indian architectural style, the two-story museum showcases scenes from Lord Ram's childhood to the Sita Swayamvar on the ground floor, while the first floor depicts the exile, Lanka Dahan, and the epic battle between Ram and Ravana.

The museum promises to immerse visitors in the ambiance of the Treta Yuga, with 3D light effects illuminating scenes such as the forests during Lord Ram's exile, Sita's abduction, and Ravana's demise. The museum also features a dedicated lighting system and realistic detailing in the attire, expressions, and postures of the wax statues.

With state-of-the-art safety and security measures, including CCTV surveillance and a firefighting system, the museum is set to become a major tourist attraction in Ayodhya. Visitors will be welcomed by the melodious chants of the 'Ram Tarak Mantra' and Ram bhajans, as well as a magnificent idol of Lord Ganesha at the entrance.

The museum is expected to attract millions of devotees annually, further contributing to the tourism boom in Ayodhya following the construction of the Ram Temple. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has pledged to transform the city into a world-class tourist destination, and the Ramayan-themed wax museum is poised to be a shining symbol of devotion and a must-visit attraction for visitors.
