The film's success has led to deals in numerous territories, including France, the U.K., Spain, and Japan, among others.
The drama stars Anthony Boyle, Joe Cole, Jay Lycurgo, Daryl McCormack, and Lola Petticrew. It is adapted by Enda Walsh from Keiran Goddard's novel, following five childhood friends whose adult lives diverge from their youthful aspirations. This project continues Barnard's collaborative relationship with producer Tracy O'Riordan.
"I See Buildings Fall Like Lightning" was developed with BBC Film and co-financed by the BFI, with National Lottery funding. Curzon Film is also a production partner and will handle U.K. distribution alongside TPC. The executive producer list includes Barnard herself, Walsh, Goddard, and representatives from BBC Film, BFI, TPC, Charades, and Curzon Film.
