Awarapan 2 has achieved a major box office milestone, crossing the ₹100 crore mark and marking Emraan Hashmi's first solo ₹100 crore hit. By its seventh day of release, the film had accumulated ₹113.50 crore net in India, with a total worldwide gross collection of ₹161.67 crore. This success includes ₹26.30 crore from overseas markets.
Actress Shriya Saran, who portrays the pivotal character Aaliya, expressed her enthusiasm for the film and praised Emraan Hashmi's performance as "mind-blowing" and one of his best. Saran also shared nostalgic feelings about her association with the project, having acted in a scene in the sequel.
Directed by Nitin Kakkar, Awarapan 2 is the follow-up to the 2007 film Awarapan and stars Disha Patani and Shabana Azmi alongside Hashmi. The film's box office performance significantly outpaced its contemporary competitor, Batwara 1947.
