Doctor Doom Arrives: MCU's Biggest Heroes Unite!

The highly anticipated first trailer for Marvel Studios' Avengers: Doomsday has arrived, revealing an expansive crossover event. Robert Downey Jr. reprises his role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, this time as the formidable villain Doctor Doom, a despotic leader from the fictional European country of Latveria. His appearance marks a significant departure from his previous role as Iron Man.

The film unites a vast array of MCU characters, including the Fantastic Four, the X-Men, and the Wakandans. The trailer confirms the return of Steve Rogers, portrayed by Chris Evans, for the first time since Avengers: Endgame. Original heroes like Thor and Bucky Barnes are also featured, alongside Shang-Chi and Scott Lang. The newly formed New Avengers team, led by Yelena Belova, will also participate.

Notable additions to the ensemble cast include Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards and Patrick Stewart reprising his role as Professor Charles Xavier. Characters from previous X-Men films, such as Magneto and Mystique, are also present. Shuri returns as Black Panther, joined by M'Baku and Namor. Despite the extensive lineup, several major characters like Hulk, Spider-Man, and Deadpool are notably absent from the initial trailer.
