Avatar Entertainment has acquired the rights to adapt Vicente Vallés' novel, 'Hunting the Executioner,' into an eight-part television series. Larry Robinson, founder of the production and management company, will serve as executive producer on the project.
Borja Moreno and Pablo Riquelme Cuartero have been engaged to write the screenplay for the series. The narrative centers on an American CIA agent who collaborates with a Spanish secret agent on a global quest to identify and neutralize a mysterious assassin responsible for eliminating Western spies.
This adaptation marks the second novel from journalist Vallés, a prominent Spanish newscaster. His prior work, 'Operation Kazan,' was previously in development at Universal Television. Robinson expressed excitement about developing Vallés' book into a "super premium action thriller series."
