Plaza's LA Home Sold Near Baby's Due Date

Actress Aubrey Plaza has secured a buyer for her Los Angeles residence, nearly a year after initially placing it on the market for $9.2 million.

The four-bedroom Mediterranean-style home, purchased by Plaza and her late husband Jeff Baena in October 2022 for $6.6 million, was relisted in January 2025 following Baena's tragic death by suicide.

After several price reductions and failed deals, the property was eventually listed with a new agent for $7.5 million, then $6.8 million, before attracting a contingent offer.

The sale moves toward closing just as Plaza, 42, is due to give birth to her first child with partner Christopher Abbott this fall, a pregnancy described as a "beautiful surprise after an emotional year."

Plaza confirmed her pregnancy in April 2026, over a year after Baena's death and seven months after first listing their marital home. The home, built in 1928, features numerous amenities including a screening room, wine cellar, and pool.

Plaza and Baena, a writer and director, had been married and together since 2011. Baena was pronounced dead on January 3, 2025.
