However, as a geostorm ravages Earth, Athena and Hen's space mission teeters on the edge.

Back on Earth, the geostorm is causing havoc in Los Angeles, with debris from space raining down and causing chaos for the citizens. The space crew tries to contact Earth, and their call is eventually patched through to the Nashville dispatch and then to Maddie, a character from the 9-1-1 series.
