In the viral video, Arya made a jest about his genitalia, referring to it as his 'chota bhai' (younger brother), and explicitly stated this did not refer to Prateik. He then corrected himself to 'Prateik Smita Patil', acknowledging his brother's use of their late mother's name, Smita Patil.

Arya has since explained that his comment was not intended to mock Prateik, particularly concerning his sensitive decision to adopt their mother's surname. He clarified that his remark was a factual correction made in the moment, with the audience finding humor in it. Arya also voiced his dismay at the recurring negative portrayal of his family, questioning why they are often cast as villains while his brother is seemingly positioned as a victim.
