Film Shoot Halted: Artists' Forum Clashes with Studio
25 Apr
Summary
- Artists' Forum demanded Leena Gangopadhyay's removal from Organinc's board.
- The Forum issued a seven-day ultimatum, which elapsed on Friday.
- Organinc Studios questioned the Forum's legal authority for its demands.

The production of the film 'Kone Dekha Alo' (KDA) faces an uncertain future following a dispute between Organinc Studios and the Artists' Forum. The Forum had demanded the removal of Leena Gangopadhyay, a board director of Organinc Studios, within seven days, threatening to withdraw participation from the shooting if their demand was not met.
This ultimatum expired on Friday. In response, Organinc director Arka Ganguly sent a letter to the Artists' Forum leadership, questioning the legal basis for their demands on a private limited company's board. The studio highlighted that the KDA actors themselves have formally declared no security threats or grievances against Organinc.
Organinc Studios sought clarification on the Forum's authority to impose such conditions and alleged criminal intimidation against actors. The studio also requested details regarding the Forum's decision-making process, including internal votes, meeting notices, and minutes, demanding a point-by-point reply within seven days.
