The art collective Guerrilla Girls, known for their anonymous activism against gender and racial biases in galleries since 1985, has seen one of its members, 83-year-old artist Joyce Kozloff, choose to reveal her identity. Kozloff, who used the pseudonym Liubov Popova, fulfilled a pact to share her story on her own terms.

The Guerrilla Girls themselves once played on this curiosity with a poster humorously exposing "identities," highlighting the many unrecognized women in art.
