A significant auction featuring rare works from contemporary artists including Sir Grayson Perry, Es Devlin, and Nan Goldin has been organized to raise funds for Palestine. The event, also showcasing art from Charlie Mackesy, Brian Eno, and Sarah Ball, is scheduled to take place later this month.
Choose Love, Gideon Berger Studio, Hope 93 Gallery, and art dealer Zayna Al-Saleh are spearheading the initiative. All proceeds will be directed to the Together For Palestine Fund, managed by Choose Love, to aid Palestinian-led organizations.
Notable pieces include Devlin's 'Redraw The Edges Of Yourself' and Sir Grayson's ceramics work 'Lady With Fireworks'.
The auction, open for bids from March 26 to April 9, will be accompanied by a public exhibition of the works at Hope 93 Gallery in London during the same period.
Josie Fernandez-Marelli, CEO of Choose Love, emphasized the urgent need to support vital organizations providing humanitarian aid in Gaza. The funds will contribute to emergency relief, including food, water, healthcare, shelter, and mental health support. This auction follows a successful concert that raised over £2 million for similar causes.
