CBFC forces title change on Arshad Warsi movie
4 Sep
Summary
- Film's title changed days before release due to censor board directive.
- CBFC mandated changes for 'inappropriate' visuals and dialogues.
- The movie received a U/A 16+ certificate after modifications.

Arshad Warsi's latest film, initially named Jeevan Bheema Yojana, has undergone a title change to Jeevan Ya Bheema Con just three days prior to its September 4 theatrical release. This alteration was prompted by a directive from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) to avoid phonetic similarity with the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana. The CBFC reviewed the film and issued a U/A 16+ certificate.
In addition to the title change, the film required modifications to its content. The CBFC requested alterations in four places for 'inappropriate' references, replacement of an 'obscene' hand gesture and visual in two instances, and modification of another 'obscene' visual in the second half. An 'obscene dialogue' was also adjusted in the post-interval portion.
Following these adjustments, the CBFC approved Jeevan Ya Bheema Con on September 1. The movie, directed by Abhishek Dogra, runs for 1 hour, 59 minutes, and 56 seconds. The cast includes Sanjeeda Shaikh, Vijay Raaz, and Brijendra Kala, among others.
