Armaan Malik's Malayalam Debut: A Challenging New Sound

Armaan Malik is set to make his debut in Malayalam playback singing with the song "Mazhavillaye." This track is featured in Dulquer Salmaan's forthcoming action thriller, titled 'I'm Game.' Malik has previously lent his voice to songs in Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada.

He recently shared that Malayalam presented a distinct challenge due to its nuanced pronunciation and expressions. Despite his experience with other Indian languages, Malik found Malayalam particularly intricate, emphasizing the need for natural and native delivery. He expressed gratitude to the lyric and language coordination team for their patient guidance during the recording sessions.

The opportunity to sing for 'I'm Game' arose through composer Jakes Bejoy, with whom Malik had long wished to collaborate. Malik's debut in Malayalam fulfills a personal ambition to explore the region's film music. He noted that Dulquer Salmaan's natural charm complements the song's melody.

Directed by Nahas Hidhayath, known for 'RDX,' 'I'm Game' stars Dulquer Salmaan in the lead. The film's cast also includes Kayadu Lohar, Mysskin, Antony Varghese, Samyuktha Viswanathan, and Vinay Forrt. The action thriller is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on August 20, 2026, coinciding with the Onam festival.
