Ariana Grande's latest album, 'Petal,' has debuted at the pinnacle of the Billboard 200 albums chart. The record achieved robust sales of 295,000 units in its opening week, establishing it as Grande's strongest sales performance of the current decade. This significant achievement brings her total number of No. 1 albums to seven. With this milestone, Grande now shares the distinction of having the most No. 1 albums among solo female artists with Lady Gaga and Janet Jackson, both artists having earned seven chart-topping records.

Following the release of 'Petal' and the conclusion of the North American leg of her Eternal Sunshine Tour in Chicago, Grande is preparing to take a hiatus from public life. She is scheduled to perform the final ten shows of her tour in London from August 15 to September 1. This break comes amidst heightened public scrutiny, prompting her decision to reduce her visibility after the tour. Grande has also withdrawn from a planned West End production of 'Sunday in the Park With George' and will not participate in the promotional tour for the movie 'Focker-in-Law,' which is set for release on November 25.
