12 Nov
Summary
- Ariana Grande declines to explain her skepticism about 1969 moon landing
- Grande says she "doesn't give a rat's ass" about the moon and flag, wants to focus on Earth
- Grande impresses co-star Bowen Yang with her Lorne Michaels impression

On November 12, 2025, pop star Ariana Grande returned to the Vanity Fair lie detector test, where she was once again questioned about her skepticism regarding the 1969 moon landing. During last year's press tour for the film Wicked, Grande had given an "inconclusive" answer when asked if she believed the moon landing was fake.
This time, when her co-star Bowen Yang asked if Grande wanted to "redeem" herself, she bluntly replied, "No. I want to move past it." Yang continued to press the issue, asking if Grande believed in the moon itself and the flag planted there. Grande coyly said she "hears both arguments," but then forcefully stated, "The truth is, I don't give a rat's ass. I'm worried about Earth, god dammit! We're burning alive! We're killing each other! Can we worry about Earth for five minutes? Who gives a fuck about the moon and the flag?"
Despite Grande's dismissal of the moon landing debate, the interview was not without its lighter moments. Yang managed to get Grande to do an impressive impersonation of Saturday Night Live boss Lorne Michaels, as she recounted how she personally called him to convince him to let Yang join the cast of Wicked.
