The extraction shooter Arc Raiders is set to receive its 'Cold Snap' update on December 16. This significant content drop includes a new Snowfall map condition, the Flickering Flames event, additional quests, and a new raider deck. Details on the Snowfall condition suggest it could introduce challenging environmental hazards.
This update marks the final scheduled release for Arc Raiders' 2025 content roadmap, with future plans for 2026 yet to be announced. The game has already achieved substantial commercial success, selling over 4 million copies globally within two weeks of its launch and peaking at 700,000 concurrent players across all platforms.
Beyond its gaming achievements, Arc Raiders has recently been featured in an episode of South Park, a cameo that was reportedly conceived and produced in just a few days. This broad cultural reach underscores the game's impact, following a highly positive reception, including a 9/10 review from IGN.
