Influence Media Partners has initiated a strategic investment in IPNation, a groundbreaking platform exclusively focused on Arabic music and entertainment intellectual property. IPNation has set a $100 million investment target to acquire music masters, publishing rights, artist brands, and name, image, and likeness (NIL) rights within the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
Founded by Anghami co-founder Eddy Maroun and former Multiply Group executive Jose Maria Dot, IPNation intends to develop acquired IP into multi-format entertainment franchises. These will span immersive experiences, live shows, film, documentaries, merchandise, gaming, licensing, and AI-powered derivatives, enhancing fan engagement.
Ram Kolluri of Influence Media Partners highlighted the Middle East as a promising market for long-term growth in premium music IP. Jose Maria Dot emphasized that Arabic music and entertainment IP is currently undervalued globally, and IPNation aims to institutionalize investment while creating significant upside through its value creation strategies.
Eddy Maroun added that IPNation is changing the landscape by transforming Arabic IP into global entertainment franchises across various media. This initiative aims to generate long-term ownership value for the region, which has historically seen limited benefit from its cultural impact.
