Playback singer A.R. Ameen, son of A.R. Rahman, was involved in a motor vehicle collision in Chennai on Monday, August 10, during the early morning hours. The accident occurred around 3:30 am near the Olympia Tech Park signal in Guindy, as Ameen and a friend were traveling in his car.
Their vehicle collided with a cab when the latter emerged from a side road. Both Ameen and his friend sustained minor injuries and were promptly transported to Kauvery Hospital for medical attention. They were subsequently discharged and returned home. The passenger in the cab also required medical treatment at Kalaignar Centenary Super Speciality Hospital before being released.
