Apple TV+ has secured a first-look deal with Annie Weisman, the acclaimed producer behind "Imperfect Women" and "Physical." This significant agreement ensures that Apple TV+ will have the first opportunity to review and potentially greenlight new series developed by Weisman.
The deal comes just ahead of the March 18 premiere of "Imperfect Women," a thriller-drama based on Araminta Hall's novel. Weisman's previous work with the streamer includes the dramedy "Physical," where she served as showrunner and director.
Weisman brings a wealth of experience to the partnership. She previously served as showrunner for Peacock's "Based on a True Story" and had an overall deal with Universal Television, where she created the Fox series "Almost Family."
Her notable credits also extend to co-executive producing Hulu's "The Path" and working on shows such as "Suburgatory" and "Desperate Housewives."
