He observed that many Indian producers fail to meet crucial festival deadlines, which results in missed chances for their films to be showcased.

Kashyap further pointed out a concerning trend among Indian celebrities attending Cannes: a lack of engagement with the films being presented. According to him, the filmmakers and actors present are not dedicating enough time to watching the movies, thereby missing a key aspect of the festival experience. This selective engagement, he implies, contributes to a superficial understanding and participation in global film events.
