New Bengali Film Explores Women's Autonomy

Director Abhigyan Mukherjee has revealed the first look of his upcoming film, 'Anumaner Bhittite.' This family drama draws inspiration from writer Arka Jyoti Mitra's tenth book of the same title. The narrative intricately weaves together the lives of three women from different generations as they confront personal challenges and familial relationships.

The film aims to explore profound themes such as self-independence, the quest for identity, and the pursuit of emotional freedom. Mukherjee, returning to the Kolkata film industry after an eight-year hiatus, expressed his aspiration to craft a cinematic experience that is both grand and unique, while resonating deeply with audiences through its relatable emotional core.
