Anukreethy Vas: From Miss India to Zombie Apocalypse Lead

Anukreethy Vas, a former Miss India, is making a notable return to acting with prominent roles. She stars as the lead in the action-thriller "Bang Bang," set in a zombie-apocalypse, fulfilling a childhood dream of working with her idol, Prabhudeva. Vas also expressed initial apprehension about acting with veteran comedian Vadivelu but found him to be very kind.

Another project for Vas features Kavin, Priyanka Mohan, and Sandy, where she plays a parallel lead. She highlighted the supportive environment on set, where co-stars like Kavin provided ample space for her performance.

Reflecting on her career start, Vas acknowledged that initial successes might have limited her growth. She deliberately took a break after her debut in Vijay Sethupathi's "DSP," which underperformed, to focus on workshops and theatre, thus honing her craft.

The actress also commented on the increasing importance of social media in the entertainment industry. Directors now frequently inquire about actors' social media reach, as follower counts have become a significant part of their professional portfolio and a new avenue for opportunities and financial flexibility.
