- Tyra Banks commented on the alleged incident with reservations.

Shandi Sullivan, an alumna of America's Next Top Model, has reactivated her GoFundMe page following the release of Netflix's three-part docuseries, "Reality Check: Inside America's Next Top Model." The series brought renewed attention to Sullivan's allegations of a non-consensual sexual encounter during her time on the show.
Originally established to help Sullivan after being displaced from her home, the GoFundMe has been updated at the request of supporters. She noted that while she initially stated no donations were sought due to widespread financial difficulties, the funds could help her achieve a longtime dream of purchasing a home and establishing an animal sanctuary.
The docuseries revisited an incident from cycle 2 where Sullivan, then with a boyfriend, was filmed kissing a man at a party in Italy. Sullivan described being "blacked out" and unable to consent, stating production should have intervened. Creator Tyra Banks responded, expressing difficulty discussing production details.
Reflecting on the experience at 43, Sullivan emphasized that her participation in "Reality Check" was for personal validation, feeling supported by the director and producers in sharing her narrative. She expressed gratitude for the immense support received since the docuseries aired.
