ANTM Star Reflects on Infamous Pendulum Fall

Sixteen years after her memorable fall during a pendulum challenge on America's Next Top Model, cycle 14 contestant Alexandra Underwood has spoken out. Underwood recalled the incident, where she collided with a swinging pendulum and fell off the runway, sustaining injuries. She expressed that the show's producers placed her in an inappropriate and dangerous situation.

Underwood stated that she did not feel Whoopi Goldberg needed to apologize for laughing at the clip on The View, as Goldberg's reaction gave her permission to find the humor in it later. Although she suffered scraped knees and a ripped gown, Underwood has built a successful 16-year career in the modeling industry, even signing with Wilhelmina agency after the show.

Reflecting on the show's legacy, Underwood noted that while her experience was largely positive, she recognizes that many other contestants may not share her view. She believes some individuals are owed apologies for what they endured during production. Other alums, like Adrianne Curry, have also spoken about their experiences and Tyra Banks' role.
