Actress Ansiba Hassan has escalated her complaint against actor Tini Tom, with police indicating that further action is pending consultation with senior officials. Hassan's statement has been forwarded to the Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) and Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) for review.
In her petition, Hassan alleged that Tini Tom engaged in cyber harassment, made communal remarks, and targeted her family, which she described as an insult to womanhood. The actress is prepared to pursue legal remedies if her complaint does not result in a registered case.
The underlying issue is thought to stem from disagreements within the Association of Malayalam Movie Actors (AMMA) regarding sponsorship for a family gathering on February 14. Hassan had reportedly objected to a religious institution sponsoring the AMMA program, which led to her resignation as Joint Secretary.
Hassan later revealed Tini Tom's alleged role in spreading false narratives and rumors about her. She has also submitted a separate petition concerning Thrippunithura Sub-Inspector Reshma and actress Lakshmi Priya, which has been forwarded to the State Police Chief.
