On October 4, 2025, Anshula Kapoor, the daughter of filmmaker Boney Kapoor and sister of Arjun Kapoor, celebrated her engagement to longtime boyfriend Rohan Thakkar with a traditional Gujarati Gor Dhana ceremony. The intimate pre-wedding ritual was attended by close family and friends, including Anshula's aunt Maheep Kapoor.
In the absence of Anshula's late mother, Mona Shourie Kapoor, who passed away in 2012, Maheep Kapoor stepped in to perform the 'mother duties' during the ceremony. Fans praised Maheep for fulfilling this role and supporting Anshula on her special day.
Anshula also paid tribute to her mother's legacy by incorporating a special detail into her outfit. The word 'Rab Rakha,' which was her late mother's favorite saying and belief, was stitched onto the back of Anshula's ensemble designed by Arpita Mehta. This heartwarming gesture allowed Anshula to honor her mother's memory during the joyous occasion.
The Gor Dhana ceremony was also attended by other members of the Kapoor clan, including Sonam Kapoor, Harshvarrdhan Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor, and Shanaya Kapoor, who celebrated Anshula and Rohan's new chapter together.
