Summary

- 'Verity', Hathaway's recent film, significantly outgrossed 'Digger' at the box office.
Anne Hathaway recently shared her first-ever review on Letterboxd, giving a five-star rating to director Alejandro González Iñárritu's new climate crisis satire, 'Digger.' She described the film as "smart and trippy and aggressive and funny and ambitious." Hathaway also noted that the film is "worth making the time" to see.
While 'Digger' garnered praise from Hathaway and fellow actors like Guillermo del Toro, Ron Howard, and Glen Powell, it underperformed at the box office. Hathaway's latest movie, 'Verity,' released on the same day, earned $32 million domestically in its opening weekend, far surpassing 'Digger's' $8 million.
Looking ahead, Hathaway is slated to star alongside Tom Cruise in 'Days of Thunder 2,' directed by Jonathan Levine. This collaboration follows Cruise's earlier praise for Hathaway's 2026 film, 'The Odyssey.' Cruise also previously appeared in the original 'Days of Thunder' in 1990.
