Anne Hathaway's Pregnancy Halt: No Spicy Wings for Star

Actress Anne Hathaway recently revealed why she couldn't participate in the 'Hot Ones' challenge while promoting her new film, 'Verity.' Despite wanting to engage with the show, which is featured in the movie, her doctor advised against it due to her current pregnancy with her third child. The concern was that the spicy food challenge could potentially lead to early labor.

Hathaway explained that while her character in 'Verity' did perform parts of the challenge, she herself had to switch to dummy wings. The actress, who stars alongside Dakota Johnson and Josh Hartnett in the film, noted that she has not yet completed the full 'Hot Ones' gauntlet. She expressed hope that she might be able to do it in the future, possibly next year.

The film 'Verity,' based on Colleen Hoover's 2018 novel, follows a struggling writer tasked with finishing a bestselling author's series. Hathaway's character, Verity Crawford, is the titular author. Hathaway, already a mother to two sons, announced her pregnancy in June and has been actively promoting other films, including 'The Odyssey' and 'The End of Oak Street,' throughout her press tour.
