Rock Icon Ann Wilson Celebrates Milestone Birthday

Rock music icon Ann Wilson, lead singer of the band Heart, celebrated her 76th birthday on June 19, 2026. Wilson's career spans over five decades, marked by her distinctive and powerful vocals that have defined numerous rock anthems.

She rose to fame with her sister Nancy Wilson, forming Heart, which became a dominant force in the 1970s and 1980s. Their collaborative sound, blending Ann's vocals with Nancy's guitar work, produced hits like 'Magic Man' and 'Barracuda'.

Heart achieved massive commercial success, selling over 35 million records globally and securing Top 10 albums across four decades. Their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013 recognized their significant contribution to music.

Ann Wilson's voice is central to Heart's enduring appeal, capable of both intimate storytelling and fierce rock performances. Beyond the band, she and Nancy paved the way for women in rock, proving they could lead, write, and perform at the highest level.

Earlier in 2026, the documentary 'Ann Wilson: In My Voice' was released, offering a personal look at her life and career. Wilson continues to find joy and express herself through songwriting and touring, stating she feels most alive on stage.
