North Carolina singer-songwriter Anjimile is preparing to release his new album, 'You're Free to Go,' on March 13. This forthcoming record is the successor to his 2023 release, 'The King.' Notably, acclaimed producer Brad Cook has returned to helm this new project, having previously collaborated with Anjimile on 'The King' and the standalone single 'Auld Lang Syne II' last year.
The album's first single, 'Like You Really Mean It,' has been unveiled with a lively music video directed by Caity Arthur. The video features a distinctive roller disco theme. Anjimile revealed that the song was written with a personal motivation: to inspire a kiss from his girlfriend, an effort he confirmed was successful.
'You're Free to Go' features a total of twelve tracks, including titles such as 'Rust & Wire,' 'Waits For Me,' and 'Exquisite Skeleton.' Fans can anticipate the full release in the coming months. Anjimile's previous work, including the cathartic indie folk music he creates, has been celebrated in earlier features.
