He explained that while 'Awaargi' was a serious drama, the mannerisms and swagger he developed for that role later influenced his portrayal of the quirky Majnu Bhai. "Nobody saw that film. So, I used that in 'Welcome'," Kapoor said, drawing laughter from the crowd.
The actor also poked fun at the recent comparisons between his 'Welcome' character and Allu Arjun's dance moves in 'Pushpa'. "After Allu Arjun did the same walk in 'Pushpa', people say 'Yeh Allu Arjun ka style hai'. Bhaiyya, humne pehle shuru kiya tha!" Kapoor exclaimed, earning applause from the audience.
