Anil Kapoor's childhood wedding gatecrashing for free food

Anil Kapoor is gearing up to host Star Plus's forthcoming game show, India Ke Top 1%. This new program will bring together 100 contestants to test their logic, observation, and everyday thinking skills.

During a pre-premiere discussion, Kapoor shared a lighthearted childhood memory from his youth in Chembur. He recounted how he and his friends would frequently attend neighborhood weddings in Tilak Nagar, not for the festivities, but for the complimentary food and beverages.

Kapoor specifically recalled enjoying popular cold drinks of that era, Gold Spot and Mangola, stating he would consume many bottles. He humorously compared his gatecrashing habit to the saying, "Abdullah deewana in someone else's wedding."

The show, India Ke Top 1%, promises an engaging format where contestants face challenges that assess their reasoning abilities. Kapoor will also share personal anecdotes with the participants. The grand premiere is scheduled for September 19 at 8 PM on Star Plus and JioHotstar.
