Scammed Fans Flock to See Viral Music Phenomenon

Angine de Poitrine, a duo from Saguenay, Quebec, performing as 333-year-old aliens, has become a global music sensation. Their recent sold-out shows at downtown Los Angeles' Teragram Ballroom saw devoted fans, some of whom were scammed on ticket resale sites like StubHub, lining up for hours. LA is the band's strongest market, accounting for a significant portion of their global resale ticket sales.

The band, known as Khn and Klek de Poitrine, performs microtonal math rock, creating complex layers of sound live with custom instruments and intricate drumming. Their elaborate costumes, featuring spotted limbs and geometric shapes, draw significant attention, though their manager insists the music is the core appeal. A KEXP session video of the band, posted on February 5, 2026, has surpassed 18 million views on YouTube.

Prior to their viral success, Angine de Poitrine had already established a strong presence in Quebec, selling thousands of tickets and dominating festival stages. Their international debut at the Newport Jazz Festival on July 31, 2026, was followed by back-to-back sellouts in Denver. The band's dedicated fanbase actively participates in their performances, mirroring their movements and chanting their names.

Even with ticketing issues and extreme heat, fans like Becky and Frank experienced the Angine de Poitrine phenomenon firsthand. Many attendees expressed plans to attend the band's upcoming sold-out shows at the Wiltern in December 2026, underscoring their immense popularity.
