Actor Andrew Garfield has revealed a secret Instagram account, admitting his screen time notifications are "horrific" and the addiction is "enraging." He describes his social media rabbit holes as including "weird ceramics" and Japanese craftspeople, noting that the constant engagement is "by design."

Technology and social media are central themes in Garfield's new film, "The Magic Faraway Tree." In the movie, he and Claire Foy portray a couple who relocate their tech-dependent children to a farm, seeking a healthier relationship with devices.

Reflecting on his own dreams, Garfield, who was 27 and starring in "Spider-Man" 15 years ago, stated his current aspirations are more "earthbound" and philosophical, focusing on quality of life and relationships.

He also discussed his desire to retreat to the Somerset countryside to "whittle wood" and observe nature, a stark contrast to his demanding work schedule of back-to-back projects. Garfield shared that leaving his phone in another room significantly helps, though he sometimes resorts to placing it in his car trunk.

The film "Wild Things," where Garfield plays Roy in the Siegfried & Roy series, was a challenging yet rewarding shoot. He expressed admiration for co-star Jude Law, who portrays Siegfried, and highlighted the series' blend of style, heart, and emotional depth.

Garfield also spoke about Judi Dench voicing a smart fridge in "The Magic Faraway Tree," a role he only learned about retrospectively.
