This year's META Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to the esteemed actor, director, and theatre practitioner Amol Palekar, acknowledging his profound contributions to Indian theatre and cinema.
META 2026 achieved a historic milestone with 422 submissions, the highest number to date, representing diverse regions, cities, languages, and dialects. A jury comprising respected figures in Indian theatre will evaluate the 10 shortlisted productions.
The selected plays, showcasing themes from mythology to politics, will be staged at Kamani Auditorium and Shri Ram Centre for Performing Arts. The festival culminates with the META Awards Night on March 25, 2026.
