Bachchan's Tiger Dare: Birth of Son Inspired Courage!
10 Aug
Summary
- Amitabh Bachchan faced an untrained tiger for a film scene.
- His son Abhishek's birth motivated his courage on set.
- Stuntman Mohan Baggad sustained injuries from the tiger.

In 1976, veteran stuntman Mohan Baggad recounted performing dangerous tiger stunts for Amitabh Bachchan in the film 'Khoon Pasina.' The original stunt double was replaced due to complexion concerns, leading Baggad to step in despite his fear of the untrained animal.
Baggad revealed that on February 5, 1976, Bachchan received news of his son Abhishek's birth during the shoot. This profoundly motivated Bachchan, who declared he would also perform the tiger scene, stating, 'If this tiger is a tiger, then I am also a tiger. A tiger was born in my house.'
Mohan Baggad later sustained injuries, including facial scars, from tiger attacks during the filming of 'Khoon Pasina' and 'Mr Natwarlal' (1979). He mentioned that the tigers were not trained, and their mouths were often stitched, which sometimes incited more aggression. He also noted Dharmendra's self-performed animal stunts in 'Kartavya.'
