During a recent appearance on 'Kaun Banega Crorepati', Amitabh Bachchan recounted a humorous incident from his early married life with Jaya Bachchan. He revealed that his father, the renowned poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan, intervened regarding Jaya's affectionate nickname for him, 'Lambu ji'.
Harivansh Rai Bachchan apparently suggested that Jaya Bachchan either use Amitabh's name or find another way to address him. Following this advice, Jaya Bachchan began calling her husband by his actual name. The discussion also involved Ranbir Kapoor, who joined the show to promote his film 'Ramayana'.
The conversation then shifted to height differences within the Bachchan family and Kapoor's own family. Amitabh Bachchan, standing at 6 feet 2 inches, noted the significant height difference with Jaya Bachchan, who is around 5 feet 3-4 inches tall. Ranbir Kapoor humorously pointed out his own height falls closer to Jaya Bachchan's.
