The band American Authors, known for their 2014 hit "Best Day of My Life," is launching a new music project for children and families. Titled Bogoo's Best Day, the project's first album, The Greatest Adventure Yet, is scheduled for release on October 23.
The project centers on the character Bogoo and his adventures with friends Bestie and Papa Piña. The album's songs focus on themes like friendship, confidence, and individuality, with a special Halloween-themed track, "Zombie Walk," released on October 1.
Band members Zac Barnett and Matt Sanchez have incorporated personal family histories into the project. Barnett was inspired by his father's career as a puppeteer, while Sanchez drew from his Mexican heritage for the character Papa Piña. His daughter also contributed to shaping the project's vision.
This endeavor marks a significant shift in audience for American Authors, applying their signature catchy melodies and group vocals to music designed for shared family enjoyment.
