Oliver Jones has been appointed senior commissioner for U.K. scripted at Amazon MGM Studios, relocating from Los Angeles to London. He will report to Nicole Clemens, VP and head of international originals, and begins his new role in May. Jones previously spent six years at Apple TV, where he was instrumental in developing the streamer's international originals strategy. During his tenure, he guided projects from development through to global launch, including "Monarch: Legacy of Monsters," "Masters of the Air," and Alfonso Cuarón's "Disclaimer." He also oversaw "Berlin Noir," currently in production, and earlier credits such as "Tehran" and "Sunny."
Before joining Apple, Jones held senior roles at Fremantle, working on series like "The Mosquito Coast" and "Fellow Travelers."
