The iconic reality competition series, The Amazing Race, is back for its 39th season, premiering September 30 and October 1 at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT on CBS and Paramount+. Hosted by Phil Keoghan, the Emmy-winning show will see 15 teams traverse over 25,000 miles across five continents, nine countries, and thirteen cities. This season includes a significant new twist: each team will receive an Express Pass, usable once to skip a challenge before Leg 6.
This installment, filmed last fall, promises thrilling challenges, including a 200-foot jump in Vancouver and paramotor flights in Laos. The diverse cast includes pairs of professional athletes, siblings, and a grandfather-grandson duo with a notable age gap. Fans can anticipate the show airing weekly on Wednesdays starting October 7, continuing its legacy of global adventure and intense competition for the ultimate $1 million prize.
