Olympic figure skater Alysa Liu recently shared a frightening experience at the airport, where she was pursued by fans after landing. Liu, who recently secured a gold medal for her performance at the 2026 Winter Olympics, expressed her distress on social media.

Detailing the event on March 4, Liu explained that upon arrival, a crowd with cameras and autograph items was present, invading her personal space. The situation escalated when someone chased her all the way to her car, prompting her plea for privacy.

Liu, a native of Oakland, California, had been traveling extensively to discuss her skating career and Olympic victories. Her return from the Milan Cortina games included a notable homecoming at San Francisco International Airport on February 24, where she was celebrated by airport staff and awaiting spectators.

The 20-year-old made history by becoming the first American woman to win Olympic gold since Sarah Hughes in 2002. She also contributed to the team's gold medal alongside teammates.

Prior to this airport incident, Liu appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, presenting the host with a wig mirroring her signature halo hairstyle. Despite the recent intrusions, Liu has emphasized the importance of rest, telling Teen Vogue she spent five days relaxing in the Bay Area after the games, reconnecting with friends and catching up on sleep.
