The Bollywood spy action thriller Alpha, starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari, has concluded its theatrical run as a major box office disappointment. The film's net collection in India is not expected to reach 65 crore. In its third week, Alpha saw a significant drop in viewership, earning as low as 25 lakh on some days.
As of its 16th day, Alpha had garnered an estimated 57.53 crore net at the Indian box office. Projections indicate that its lifetime collection will fall short of expectations, notably becoming lower than the 70.5 crore earned by Pathaan on its first Thursday. This performance is a first for Yash Raj Films' Spy Universe.
Directed by Shiv Rawail and produced by Aditya Chopra, Alpha also features Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor, with Hrithik Roshan in a cameo. Despite a reported budget of 100 crore, the film failed to achieve the success seen by its predecessors in the franchise.
